Option 1
- Lunch – Mashed carrots (+ optional soft-cooked carrot dices)
Why it helps: Carrots are rich in beta-carotene (vitamin A precursor) and blend to a gentle, familiar flavor. - Dinner – Mashed sweet potato with a side of mashed pear
Why it helps: Sweet potato provides energy, potassium, and fiber; pear adds gentle fiber and natural sweetness. 
Option 2
- Lunch – Mashed peas (+ optional soft-cooked peas)
Why it helps: Peas offer plant protein and iron in a mild, baby-friendly purée. - Dinner – Mashed broccoli with a side of mashed apple
Why it helps: Broccoli brings vitamin C and fiber; apple offers soft texture and mild flavor variety. 
Option 3
- Lunch – Mashed butternut squash (+ optional soft-cooked squash cubes)
Why it helps: Squash is silky and vitamin-A–rich, ideal for early spoon practice. - Dinner – Mashed green beans with a side of mashed blueberries
Why it helps: Green beans add fiber; blueberries introduce new color/flavor and natural antioxidants. 
Suggested ~6–8 months, or when your pediatrician says ready.
- Nutrient-Rich Beginnings: Mostly single-ingredient purées with optional soft, bite-sized pieces for babies who are beginning to explore finger foods.
 - Typical portions (per meal): ~2–3 tbsp purée (about 2 oz) + optional 1–2 tbsp soft bites.
 - Textures: Smooth purées; very soft, small pieces if baby is ready (always supervise).
 


Option 4
- Lunch – Mashed cauliflower with a side of mashed mango (optional tiny mango cubes if ready)
Why it helps: Cauliflower is mild and versatile; mango adds vitamin A & C and a bright taste. - Dinner – Mashed spinach with mashed avocado (+ optional tiny avocado cubes)
Why it helps: Spinach provides iron and folate; avocado adds soft texture and healthy fats. 
Option 5
- Lunch – Mashed white beans with a side of mashed apple (+ optional soft-cooked potato dices)
Why it helps: Beans supply plant protein and iron; apple adds gentle fiber; potato offers energy. - Dinner – Mashed pumpkin with a side of mashed peach
Why it helps: Pumpkin is vitamin-A–rich; peach adds soft, pleasant sweetness and variety. 
Parent note: If your baby is not yet ready for soft pieces, offer purées only. If ready, pieces should be very soft and pea-sized. Always supervise closely.
